Andrew Susskind,
LCSW, BCD has been in private practice in West Los Angeles for over
15 years specializing in the following areas:
- relationships
- addictions & codependency
- depression & anxiety
- grief & loss
- gay & lesbian issues
- mid-life transitions
Andrew is a licensed clinical social worker (LCS 17309) and a board
certified diplomate in clinical social work. In 1988 Andrew completed
a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Massachusetts
at Amherst before transitioning to the West Coast. After completing
a Master of Social Welfare degree from UCLA in 1991, he has worked
with individuals of all ages, couples, families, groups, and workshops
in his practice.
Speaking, teaching, and training are dimensions of
Andrew’s ongoing
desire to learn and grow. He gives presentations to numerous organizations
and community groups and has taught medical students in the UCLA School
of Medicine Doctoring Program. Since 1997 Andrew has provided clinical
supervision to psychotherapists in-training.
He is a certified coach
through the College of Executive Coaching and specializes in coaching
those in recovery from addictions (www.andrewsusskind.com).
As founder and facilitator of a workshop entitled Following the Rhythm
Within, he introduces techniques and tools from both positive psychology
and coaching.
Andrew is a member and follows the ethical guidelines from the National
Association of Social Workers.
