BLAIR C. SMITH
Blair C. Smith, M.A., is a Marriage and Family Therapist Intern. Blair brings a creative and interrelation approach to her practice incorporating years of Hatha yoga training, mindfulness meditation, and the creative arts. Growth occurs through our relationship to others, and the healing power of having that growth witnessed is essential to Blair’s therapeutic philosophy.
After completing her Master of Arts in Psychology degree from Antioch University, Los Angeles she trained at the Pacific Gestalt Institute and then went on to complete the Psychoanalytic Certificate Program at the Los Angeles Institute and Society for Psychoanalytic Studies. She worked as a therapist intern at the Women’s Clinic and Family Counseling Center, Los Angeles, and at the Early Childhood Parenting Center, Santa Monica. She is a consultant for Evolve, a substance and alcohol abuse program that provides case management, life management skills, & recovery support services to individuals and families. In addition, she currently co-leads a group for adults who have experienced the death of a sibling at Our House: Grief Support Center, West LA. Blair serves on the board of the Los Angeles Group Psychotherapy Society.
Blair joined Andrew Susskind’s practice in November 2008. She works with individuals, couples, and groups and offers a sliding scale fee.
